It has come to our attention that one of our competitors, Essentia, is using our trademarked name, OrganicPedic®, in their advertising and claim that they are the new “Organic Pedic memory foam”.
OMI does not, and will NEVER make memory foam mattresses. This Canadian company is attempting to profit off of our good name and does not respect our American trademark. The company’s infringement brings into question the lengths it will go to sell a mattress.

Thank you for posting this! I am a happy Lifekind customer, and am SO glad to know that your company has the consumer’s best interest in mind. It’s difficult to shop ‘green’ when so many companies like the one mentioned, are trying to benefit from those who are actually working hard to be that way. Thanks OMI/ Lifekind!
Greenwashing is a battle we have been fighting for awhile– but when we saw this company actually saying they were us, we had to let people know.
So glad you love our mattresses- we love what we do!

Hello… it seems that Essentia also uses a chemical fire retardent – this is very bad !!
Yeah it is. We have worked very hard to design our mattresses so they meet flammability requirements by using only wool as our flame retardant, and it is frustrating to see other companies claiming to be more “green” than they really are. Want to see something cool? Here’s an actual open-flame test of one of our mattresses: http://blog.omimattress.com/2012/06/05/pulling-the-wool-over-your-eyes/
